Privacy & safety

OttoStudy is a revision app for students. We keep what we collect small and use it only to run the app.

What we store

• Your Google name, email and picture (to sign you in).
• What you tell us during set-up: first name, username, exam session, subjects, self-ratings and daily goal.
• Your study activity: scores, answers, flashcard reviews, streaks and XP.
• Tutor chats and uploads, if you use them. These are private to you.

Who can see it

• Friends you add see your name, streak, XP and league. Only friends see your subject progress.
• A parent or teacher sees your progress only if you approve their one-time code. They never see tutor chats or uploads. You can always see who is linked in Settings.
• There is no messaging between accounts, and parent/teacher accounts never appear in leagues or searches.

Younger students

If you are under 18, please use OttoStudy with a parent’s or guardian’s agreement. Parents can create their own account and link to their child to follow progress.

AI

The AI tutor and marking send the question you’re working on and your answer to our AI provider to produce a response. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.

Deleting your account

Ask the OttoStudy team and we’ll delete your account and everything in it.
